A combination of all hula, oli, mele, and all other knowledge and life ways attendant to hula and itʻs practices, protocols and connection to the environment.

This course is for high school students in the San Bernardino City Unified School District who identify as having Pacific Islander ancestry and focuses on strengthening identity through cultural practice, linguistic analysis, genealogy, and other indigenous ways of knowing shared by Pacifika cultures.

6 days and 6 nights in Hilo and surrounding wahi pana (pulsing places) straddling our culminating experience, the kīpaepae for Merrie Monarch on April 20, 2025.
